Two New Words Added To The Dictonary!

"It ain't a word if it ain't in the dictionary!" Well according to Oxford English Dictionary TWERK and SELFIE are officially words!

Oxford's online dictionary's definition for these two words:

Twerk:
verb [no object] informal

• dance to popular music in a sexually provocative manner involving thrusting hip movements and a low, squatting stance: just wait till they catch their daughters twerking to this song; twerk it girl, work it girl

Review Of Last Night's Event With Janelle Monae!!

Last night I had the honor to attend Janelle Monae's private listening party for her new album "Electric Lady", which hits stores September 10th by the way.

The whole party was set up very nice, and it was sponsored by CoverGirl and courvoisier so the ladies went home with CoverGirl products and everyone got to sip on a courvoisier drink that was mixed with pineapple juice, which was SO GOOD might I add. There were also other things available to the guests such as cupcakes, cookies, and candy. DJ Phantom was also there keeping the crowd turned up before and after Janelle came out.

And of course Janelle Monae herself made the event a great experience by her gracious presence! She was so full of energy, performed very well, and partied with her guests which I loved and enjoyed a lot! If I had the opportunity to do this event again I would do it in a heartbeat! I had a great time last night. Make sure you all check out her album when it drops; there's some good songs on there and a lot of good features such as Erykah Badu and Prince! Electric Lady in stores September 10th!

Scott Storch Speaks Out About His Recent Robbery..

Tuesday night Scott Storch was a victim of robbery in NYC. He was outside of a studio when he was robbed at gunpoint by two men. He is now coming out about the situation in an interview with MTV's Sway. In the interview he explained what happened to him that night.

"I was coming out of the studio around like seven in the morning and just unexpectedly, two 7-foot thugs came out of nowhere and bam, they got me... gunpoint, yeah," Storch stated. "They said, ‘Give it up,’ or they were gonna shoot. They had the gun like pressed up on me and everything. It was crazy.”

Although he was unharmed he was forced to give up $5,000 CASH! and over $100,000 worth of JEWELRY!

Actor Lee Thompson Young Has Died At Age 29

Lee Thompson Young's body was found this morning by his landlord after his "Rizzoli & Isles" co-stars asked that he be checked on when he didn't show up for work. According to reports, the star's death has been ruled as suicide. Young's manager later released this statement confirming those reports:


"It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning ... Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed. We ask that you please respect the privacy of his family and friends at this very difficult time"

Former B2K Member On Life Support!

 

Raz-B is currently breathing from a ventilator at a hospital in China after his performance from Thursday night.

The singer was performing at a club when a fight broke out; he tried to break up the fight but was struck in the face with a glass bottle. He then was rushed to the hospital to undergo minor surgery for his lip, but was sent back to the hospital Friday morning after he was found unconscious. According to his rep "He is in a coma and needs as many prayers as possible,". Sources close to Raz-B are stating that his condition is very serious and doctors are testing him for brain damage.

What Was He Thinking?!?

 

Russell Simmons released a parody of a Harriet Tubman sex tape for his launch of "All Def Digital" Youtube page! He was hounded by numerous of people including NAACP which asked him to take the video down. He removed the video and later released this apology on Global Grind.

"In the whole history of Def Comedy Jam, I’ve never taken down a controversial comedian. When my buddies from the NAACP called and asked me to take down the Harriet Tubman video from the All Def Digital YouTube channel and apologize, I agreed.
I’m a very liberal person with thick skin. My first impression of the Harriet Tubman piece was that it was about what one of actors said in the video, that 162 years later, there’s still tremendous injustice. And with Harriet Tubman outwitting the slave master? I thought it was politically correct. Silly me. I can now understand why so many people are upset. I have taken down the video. Lastly, I would never condone violence against women in any form, and for all of those I offended, I am sincerely sorry."

Miguel Gets Arrested!

Yes Miguel, you know the power kicker, was reportedly arrested for DUI!

 Miguel was cruising around L.A in his 2013 BMW when he was pulled over for speeding. Once police approached his car they smelled alcohol and asked him to perform the breathalyzer test. He of failed, blowing a .10 and a .11, which was above the legal limit of .08.

Even though he was booked, he was released on $5,000 bail, but is scheduled to appear in court September.

Gucci Mane In Trouble Now!

Gucci love his fans so much that he pulled a "two shows in one night" stunt, but this stunt just caused him a lawsuit!

Gucci was paid $22,500 by Empire Entertainment to perform in Little Rock, Arkansas, but they later found out he was also set to perform in Tennessee the same night! Reps told Empire that Gucci would not be performing in Tennessee, but they lied! When it was show time for Gucci in Arkansas he rushed the show by only performing 3 songs and then rushed off to do his second show in Tennessee. Now Empire is suing the rapper because they didn't feel they got the show that they paid for. But that isn't all he did! After his second performance he then went back to Arkansas to stay in the hotel that Empire provided for him. Well they did pay for it so why not, huh Gucci?

Paramedics Rush To Recording Stuido For Chris Brown

Paramedics were called to Record Plant Studio in Hollywood after Chris Brown suffered a seizure, according to TMZ reports. However, Brown reportedly refused to be transported to the hospital and he also refused treatment from paramedics.

Good News For Usher!

After their son's pool accident, Tameka Foster, Usher's former wife, filed for an emergency custody hearing. The two appeared in court today for the hearing to testify but when it was all said and done Foster's request was denied.

Usher remains custody of both Raymond V and 3 year old Naviyd.

B.E.T Is Getting Sued..

B Scott, who is openly gay and transgender, is suing BET for $2.5 million after they wrongfully discriminated him. The network made Scott pull his hair back into a ponytail and change into men's clothing before allowing him to be on air for the BET Awards. Scott did as told and changed his clothing but was already replaced by Adrienne Bailon. After a few phone calls Scott was put back on and able to complete his job. Scott has recently shared an open letter on his site letting everyone know exactly what happened that day.

"It’s not just about the fact that BET forced me to pull my hair back, asked me to take off my makeup, made me change my clothes and prevented me from wearing a heel. It’s more so that from the mentality and environment created by BET made me feel less than and that something was wrong with who I am as a person". Scott expressed in his letter.

My throwback of the day is Chris Brown "Poppin"

RUMOR HAS IT!! Chris Brown Is Retiring From Music!

Sad to announce that this story is TRUE!! Just a day after turning himself in, Chris Brown shared a tweet to fans on his Twitter today letting them know he might just be working on his last album. He tweeted:


"Don't worry mainstream America. After thisX album, it'll probably be my last album," 

He then added: 

"Being famous is amazing when it's for ur music and talent. I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when I was 18. I'm cool & over it!".

Regardless of the past, I believe Chris Brown is a good artist and I'm hoping things get better for him that will make him continue to stay in the game, but from the looks of it he just isn't feeling it anymore and that really saddens me.

The singer had everybody on their toes keeping up with the first 3 parts, chapters 1-33, but apparently the saga continues in just a few months so make sure you're looking out for it! 

                   

Usher's 5 Year Old Hospitalized

Usher's son is now recovering at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta after almost drowning in the pool of their home. According to reports, Usher Raymond V was trying to get a toy that was stuck to pool drain, located underwater, when his arm got stuck in the drain. The housekeeper and his aunt tried to  help him get his arm out the drain, but was unsuccessful. Two contractors that were inside the home rushed outside to the young boy's rescue. One of the contractors performed CPR on Usher's son then he was rushed to the hospital. 

Reports say Raymond V is"conscious, alert and breathing,". Thank God!

Raven Symone shared her happiness for the Supreme Court striking down Defense of Marriage Act and the recent legalization of gay marriage in Minnesota and Rhode Island by tweeting this:

"I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you"

So I'm assuming it's safe to say that Raven Symone just finally came out the closet!!! She is gay!

But, she isn't getting married, at least not yet.

 "I, however am not currently getting married, but it is great to know I can now, should I wish to." Raven stated in an exclusive interview with E!News to clarify any confusion stemmed from her tweet.

Even though there aren't any wedding bells, I can't help but to be extremely happy for her. I'm so glad that she finally came out.
